2012 Armed Forces Day Salute:
A Tribute to the Warriors of The Greatest Generation
Saturday, May 19, 2012
We are excited about the response to our new event honoring the warriors of The Greatest Generation, a term coined by legendary journalist Tom Brokaw.
Authentic items from both World War II and The Korean Conflict will be elegantly displayed in The Chalet lobby on National Armed Forces Day, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, with various other festivities occurring throughout the afternoon. An inspiring display of flags and military vehicles will be on view atop our lakeview campus, weather permitting, while esteemed guest speakers greet the crowd, and Rhode Islanders from across the state come out to enjoy this patriotic event devoted to the courageous men and women of our armed services.
