About the Village

Our Team

Expert care begins with a professional leadership team. The talents and experience of our people help ensure the very best in healthcare and hospitality services for our residents.

In 2014, the Senior Advisor Excellence Award was presented to The Village at Waterman Lake for receiving consistently high ratings from residents and their families. Greg Damm, representing Senior Advisor/A Place for Mom Inc, delivered the award to Oliver Harvey, surrounded by 24 managers and team members who have been with The Village for more that 15 years.

Oliver N. E. Harvey - Chief Operating Officer

Oliver Harvey oversees all aspects of operations and care at The Village at Waterman Lake. Oliver has played an integral role in the growth and development of The Village since its inception in 1990. He has held numerous positions within the organization, from Senior Vice President in the nineties during the company's intense growth to Chief Operating Officer prior to the sale of nine Village communities in 2004 through to today. Oliver is now perfectly at home at the helm of our flagship community, The Village at Waterman Lake, where his compassion, tireless energy, and attention to detail set the course for The Village's managerial team to follow.

Roberta Burley - Chalet Administrator/ Accounting Manager

Roberta has been part of The Village Team for over eighteen years, from the early days of Waterman Lake, right through to the development of our nine other Village communities. Roberta managed the team of Accountants who oversaw our ten communities, eventually turning her attention back to Waterman Lake where she'd started a decade before. Now, as Assistant Administrator, Roberta sits at the helm of The Chalet building where she is always accessible to staff and residents.

Wallace Greenhalgh - Atrium Administrator

Wallace Greenhalgh leads the compassionate Atrium staff in our skilled nursing wing at The Courtyard. He brings nearly three decades of skill and experience in healthcare administration and human resources management, as well as a bright and inspiring sense of humor, to the Atrium. An engaged leader, Wally is an innovative thinker, skilled problem-solver, and competent project manager with a focus on positive outcomes, increased efficiency and quality improvement.

Cindy Donahue, RN - Director of Nursing, Lodge

Cindy has been managing the Nursing Team here at The Village since 1999. Cindy works closely with residents and families developing and managing their personalized care plan. Cindy considers herself the residents' advocate and works tirelessly on their behalf to ensure they are enjoying the highest quality of life and receiving the most effective type of care.

Kerri Davis, RN - Director of Nursing, Courtyard

Kerri Davis leads our Courtyard nursing staff from a foundation of extensive experience in critical care nursing and administration. A compassionate, efficient and energetic professional, Kerri inspires confidence and a sense of well-being in the staff and residents of The Courtyard. She comes to us from a decade at Miriam Hospital’s Cardiac Care Unit, where she supervised and coordinated nursing activities and provided hands-on care for patients.

Chef Sean Ferris - Executive Chef

Chef Sean comes to us with over 20 years experience in culinary arts. A graduate of Connecticut Culinary Institute (a member of the very first graduating class!), Sean served as Executive Chef of the Palm Restaurant in Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada for nine years. After returning to his hometown of Connecticut, he successfully opened and served as Chef at two Mohegan Sun Casino restaurants, Sunburst Buffet and Fidelias.

Karlene Hogan - Activities Director, Chalet

Karlene has been a valued member of the Village team for more than a decade. The Chalet residents depend on her to find the latest and greatest trip destinations, the best entertainers, most humorous plays, most ingenious projects and, of course, the region's best ice cream... Karlene is truly the leader of the pack and her sense of humor and robust spirit is often the source of much laughter during socials, pub parties, mystery rides, cooking programs, Arts & Crafts, Village trivia competitions, and bocce and billiard tournaments.

Diane Flynn - Activities Director, Lodge

Diane joined The Village team more than three years ago as Administrative Assistant. Her warm personality, genuine love for the residents and positive energy, however, made her the ideal choice to lead the Activities program in our largest building. Diane creates and runs a diverse and entertaining calendar for her residents, gearing her program choices to people of varying physical and mental skill levels.

Kelly Robinson - Activities Director, Courtyard

Kelly has been with the Village since 2007. Her friendly, warm approach has always been a comfort to the residents and has allowed her great success in this role. This made it a natural progression for her to move into the Courtyard Activity Director position in 2009.

Linda Gahrman - Activities Coordinator, Atrium

Linda joined the Village team in June of 2009 as a Nursing Assistant; in December of that year she moved into the role of Atrium Activities Coordinator. Linda’s varied skill set and love of the natural world are evident in the diverse programs and activities she implements in the Atrium.

The Housekeeping Team -

Our team of housekeepers ensure that our three buildings are always clean and fresh smelling. They provide weekly housekeeping and linen service with a smile, and are more than willing to go the extra mile to help residents.

The Maintenance Team -

As any Village resident will attest, our campus could not run without maintenance. They keep our driveways and walkways shoveled and plowed, and graciously clean off resident cars after every storm. The maintenance team can fix just about anything that needs fixing. We're not sure how they do it, but somehow maintenance always has the answers.

Linda Gershon - Senior Retirement Counselor

Linda has been helping prospective residents and families through the important decision making process of moving to catered retirement living since 1998. Linda's experience, compassion and counseling skills make her a valuable first point of contact for anyone wanting to learn more about what The Village lifestyle offers.

Christine M. Sullivan - Retirement Counselor

Christine is a valued member of the Village admissions team. Her genuine concern for the wellbeing of the seniors with whom she comes in contact, coupled with her remarkable warmth and kindness, make her the ideal counselor to someone considering a lifestyle change.

Randy Rauso - Director of Community Relations

As Director of Community Relations, Randy works to educate the community at large on the benefits of assisted living, and the various lifestyle options we offer here at The Village. Randy is responsible for developing and maintaining our relationships with the professional community. Through these contacts we can be sure we are offering care and services that most effectively meet the needs of area seniors.

Mary Menard - Events and Move-in Coordinator

Mary began her Village career in 1994 in the Activities Department. Mary later joined the corporate marketing department where she gained experience planning high caliber special events. Mary assumed the role of Events and Move-in Coordinator here at Waterman Lake in 2004, and has enabled us to create a seamless transition for residents during the weeks and months following move in day.

Jennifer Beauchamp - Vice President of Marketing Communications

Jennifer (DeLuca) Beauchamp led the Sales and Marketing Team at Village Retirement Communities to unprecedented success before the company sold nine of its ten communities in CT, MA, and RI. Now, at The Village at Waterman Lake, Jen focuses her attention on managing the Marketing and Sales team, the Activities Department, the Front Desk Team, and most recently has assumed management of the Courtyard Housekeeping Team, while continuing to oversee the development of advertising and collateral materials, public relations, marketing and major events open to the public.

Jasen I. Crozier - Chief Financial Officer

Jasen oversees financial operations for Village Retirement Communities and its development company. He comes to VRC with a decade of accounting experience with firms focused on regional and international accounting and consulting.
