Good News for fun-lovers and car enthusiasts: The renowned Village at Waterman Lake Autumn Car Show is returning this October on Columbus Day weekend! We have placed an order for perfect sunny weather to accommodate the hundreds of classic and antique cars, vendors from around the Northeast, and food, rides and games for the whole family.
The Car Show is just one of an exciting assortment of signature events and entertainment scheduled for 2017. Here are some of the highlights:
This spring, Ann Hood, New York Times Best Selling author, returns to present her latest novel, "The Book That Matters Most," an enthralling novel about love, loss, secrets, friendship, and the healing power of literature. Hood, a Rhode Island native and Providence resident, will be here in April or May. Watch for announcement of the date and time.
On Saturday, July 1, we celebrate Independence Day with an outdoor family concert featuring Dr. Tim Hart's band, Illusions, and fireworks viewed as the sun sets over Waterman Lake.
The popular sunset concert series, Music On The Hill, will take place on August 3, (rain date August 10). A great family night out, Music On The Hill combines lively music, dancing, and delicious hors d'oeuvres on the front lawn.
We finish up the year with "Sparkling Snowflakes," our annual gift show that just gets better and better each year. Each year it's on the first Saturday of the month, so this year it falls on December 2.
Plese join us for frolic, food and fun. We look forward to sharing these events with residents, families, friends and visitors.
