Butterflies Galore

Do you remember, as a child, the fascination of watching butterflies develop through their stages of life? Several weeks ago beautiful Painted Lady butterflies emerged here at The Village, in a community project observing caterpillars as they became chrysalises, and then mature to become winged beauties. The Lodge and the Chalet released the adult Painted Ladies after several days of observing them at close range. Led by Linda Gahrman, Atrium Activities Director, the Atrium is starting a new cycle that will mature in August.

Food, Fun, and Fireworks

Independence Day was celebrated at The Village on Saturday, July 6, with about 300 of our closest friends and family attending our evening of Food, Fun and Fireworks over Waterman Lake.  It was a memorable evening with just the right kind of weather for an outdoor summer social.
